IOGF Making a Difference in Education: STEAM Lessons and Scholarships for Underprivileged Children

For many  years, Infinit-O Group Foundation (IOGF) is making a lasting impact in education by providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) lessons and scholarship programs for underprivileged children – whether in school or out of school. With a focus on preparing students for the future, IOGF’s initiatives are creating opportunities where they are needed most.

IOGF’s STEAM education programs bring hands-on learning to the beneficiaries from ChildHope Philippines, allowing students to engage with subjects like investigatory projects, experiments, literacy, and the arts. These interactive lessons are designed to nurture creativity and critical thinking, essential skills for the modern workforce.

The results have been encouraging:the  narrative report shows a 30% increase in student engagement with STEM subjects as well as in their confilanguage skills despite challenges or difficulties in reading and writing. IOGF aims to enhance this program, especially on the literacy area while targeting developments in three areas: cognitive domain, psychomotr domain and affective domain.

In addition to STEAM programs, IOGF offers scholarships to underprivileged students who show academic promise but lack the financial resources to pursue higher education. These scholarships cover tuition and living expenses, ensuring that students can focus on their studies without financial strain.

For year 2023, IOGF has a total of 37 scholars. Of those recipients, 13% are pursuing degrees in the field of hospitality management, 11% in the field of engineering and 8% in the field of technology. While IOGF is yet to have scholar who graduated on the chosen degree, this initiative has opened doors for students who might otherwise have been left behind, allowing them to succeed and give back to their communities.

Through its STEAM lessons and scholarship programs, IOGF is helping to transform not only individual lives but entire communities. By empowering students with education and skills, IOGF is breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a ripple effect of positive change.

As IOGF looks to the future, it plans to expand these programs to reach more students in remote and underserved areas, ensuring that every child has access to the education they deserve.
